Non-Fiction

Adult and Junior resources cover a range of materials and subject areas at a general level of interest. They are shelved in one sequence by the Dewey Decimal Classification (call) number, which appears on a label at the bottom of the spine or on the bottom left hand corner of the front cover.
Junior materials have yellow call number labels.
Resources include books, Reference materials for use within the branch, CD ROMs, DVDs and documentary style Videos which support informational needs, and Language Learning Kits


Loan Period:Four weeks for books, CD ROMs and Language Learning Kits. Two weeks for DVDs and videos. Reference materials are for use within the branch.
Renewals:Two renewals of 2 weeks, unless the item has been requested by another member
Overdue Fines:Adult materials – 20 cents per day per overdue item
Junior/Young Adult materials – 10 cents per day per overdue item
DVDs, Videos and CD ROMs - $1.00 per day per overdue item
Fines for loss or damage apply
Limits:Members may borrow up to a total of 40 items from across the range of collections.
DVDs - 2 titles on loan per customer
Videos and CD ROMs – 5 titles on loan per customer
Request:No charge. Limit of 10 requests per customer across the collection.

Other:Users must comply with Copyright provisions. The Regional Library applies security, identification and item labels to all Audio-Visual items. Users who damage or remove labels will be charged for replacement of the label or replacement cost of the item if damage renders the item unusable. Users are strongly advised to inspect all materials before using them to verify that they are in good condition and that they are suitable for use in their equipment. No liability is accepted by the Regional Library for loss or damage to equipment arising from the usage of any item borrowed from the Regional Library for any reason whatsoever. Users use all electronic and audio-visual items at their own risk and liability
