Membership
Membership of the Regional Library allows members to borrow materials and access Public Access Internet terminals. Any Victorian resident may join the library by completing a membership application providing adequate personal and residential identification and undertaking to comply with conditions of membership. Temporary membership is available to non-Victorian residents, subject to further criteria.
Conditions of Membership
- Proof of current residential address is required. eg. Driver’s licence; Utilities account.
- A parent or guardian signature is required for applicants under the age of 18.
- The parent or guardian accepts responsibility for the choice of items borrowed by the applicant.
- The parent or guardian accepts responsibility for all items issued to a membership card they have signed as guarantor.
- A parent or guardian signature is required for applicants under the age of 18 who wish to utilise the Public Access Internet service.
- The parent or guardian accepts responsibility for the choice of sites accessed by the applicant.
- Members accept responsibility for all items issued to a membership card.
- Members pay fines for overdue items.
- Members pay fines for damages to or loss of items on loan to member.
- The Regional Library must be notified immediately of any change of address.
- The Regional Library must be notified immediately of any lost or stolen library cards. Members are responsible for any items borrowed on cards before the loss is reported.
- Replacement cards are available for a nominal fee.
- Suspension of privileges will occur if amount owing on membership exceeds $50.00.
- Library cards are not transferable.
- Local Laws apply within the Regional Library.
Please note that a membership record that has been inactive for 3 years will be deleted unless fines are owing.
