World Poetry Day 2013

Each year Black Inc. Publishing produces The Best Australian Poems collection. Representing the strength of poetry locally, six poets from the Geelong region were included in 2012.
The evening will feature readings by these local poets:

Diane Fahey
Cameron Lowe
Anthony Lynch
David McCooey
Maria Takolander
This evening of poetry will be hosted by John Bartlett. John is a writer, editor and reviewer whose fiction and non-fiction has been widely published.
John's first novel, Towards a Distant Sea, was released in 2005 by Indra Publishing. He self-published a collection of short stories, All Mortal Flesh, in 2009 and teaches Professional Writing at Deakin University. He reviews and interviews writers on Geelong's Community radio Pulse FM and his second novel Estuary will be released in October 2013.
