The Bannockburn Library welcomed hundreds of enthusiastic locals when it opened on Saturday 5 May. This purpose built, modern library is Golden Plains Shire’s first permanent library, replacing the mobile library service that previously visited the town and providing valuable community space and library services to the area. Located in High Street, opposite the School, the library will function as the school library as well as providing the full range of public library services and collections to the general community. The library has:

Library programs and events including weekly Preschool Storytime on Tuesdays 10:30 – 11:15am (starting June, during school terms, ages 1-6) and Babytime on Thursdays 11:30-11:50am (starting June, runs all year apart from January, ages 0-12 months).
