Geelong Regional Library Corporation (GRLC) is pleased to advise that Ocean Grove Library and Waurn Ponds Library will extend their opening hours from July 1, 2012.
The Ocean Grove Library will close at 6pm instead of 5pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and Waurn Ponds Library will introduce Sunday opening from 2:00-5:00pm, taking library services to 7 days a week at Waurn Ponds Library.
GRLC’s Board Chair, Cr Andy Richards said, ‘’We’ve listened to the people who use both these libraries and we know these extended opening hours will allow more community members to enjoy the services on offer. It also means that students and people who work during the week will have more opportunity to use the library’s resources and equipment and speak with the staff.
‘‘I encourage everyone to sign up and become a library member. It’s free and we’d like everyone to enjoy the wide range of services on offer, from great collection items including books, magazines and DVDs to borrow, to free internet access and wifi, and entertaining activities for babies, pre-schoolers, children, youth and adults".
"The region's libraries are relaxing and enjoyable spaces. There is something for everyone", he said.
